Brief Overview: You will support health and social care professionals by learning how to provide individualised care for service users and structured recreational activities for service users both individually and in group sessions.
Wage: £17,460.00 (weekly wage) 
Working Hours:

You will be employed on a substantive basis for 37.5 hours per week. You will be required to work a 24 hour shift pattern, including long days, long nights (12 hour shifts) weekends and bank holidays, plus travelling to various locations.

Working Towards: Permanent position. Undertake all mandatory and internal training. Subject to yearly appraisal to ensure appropriate recognition and thanks for your efforts and to help pinpoint how further development, change or support may help you to achieve even higher levels if you feel this is something which could be pursued. On a small number of occasions, this part of the appraisal may also identify specific behaviours which fall short of expectations and which require improvement or development to ensure levels of behaviour reach the same high standards set by your colleagues.

Traineeships will give you the skills and experience to progress into an apprenticeship or employment.

You will recieve:

  • Employability skills in the workplace by undertaking an accredited Employability training course with the Training Provider.
  • A guaranteed interview offer for a Support Worker position with Alternative Care
  • Your Care Certificate and successfully complete the Traineeship.

This traineeship will last up to 8 weeks.
