Level 2 Hairdressing Apprenticeship

At work you will be completing duties such as:
- Meeting and greeting clients
- Making clients drinks
- Reception duties
- General cleaning
As you progress in your apprenticeship you will start to gain more responsibilities such as shampooing and styling, progressing on to blow-drying and colour and cutting techniques.
An ideal candidate will have:
- Excellent customer service skills
- Communications and time-keeping skills
The ideal candidate will have:
- A passion for hairdressing
- Can use their initiative
- Polite and punctual
There are no required qualifications for entry. However, if you do not have GCSEs at grades C/4 or above (or equivalent) in maths and/or English then you will be required to complete maths and/or English Functional Skills as part of your training programme.

When you have completed your Level 2 Hairdressing there is the possibility to progress onto Level 3 Hairdressing.
Things to consider
You may be asked to work occasional late evenings, especially busy periods such as Christmas. You will usually be required to work on a Saturday. You must consider the travel time/ expenses to get to the salon and college.
