Apprentice HGV Technician

Brief Overview: We are looking for enthusiastic individuals with a "can do attitude" and a genuine interest in the HGV industry.

The dedicated 3 year Advanced Heavy Vehicle programme gives emphasis to electronics, diagnosis and computer management systems. All aspects of heavy vehicle technology are embedded throughout the programme. Majority of your time will be spent in the depot gaining hands-on experience and on the job training, under the guidance of a trained mentor.

 
Wage:  £156.00
Working Hours:  To start with the hours of work would be Monday to Friday 8:30am until 5pm.

Total hours per week: 40.00

 

Location:  Altofts Lane, Wakefield Europort, Castleford, WF10 5UB
Working Towards:  A Level 3 Apprenticeship Standard in heavy vehicle service and maintenance lasting 3 years.

Training will be through Stephenson College based in Coalville, Leicestershire where apprentices will be required to attend on a block release basis every 6 weeks. Accommodation and travel cost will be covered.

Apprentice Commercial Vehicle Body Builder

Brief Overview: As an apprentice commercial vehicle body builder, you will be working in a workshop environment 4 days a week alongside fully qualified employees. The remaining one day a week will be spent at college. In our workshop, we design and build commercial vehicle bodies using a range of skills, tools and machinery. 
Wage:  £180.00 per week.
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7 am- 16:30 pm Fri 8 am - 12 pm) Total hours per week: 40.00.

Working Towards: You will complete a two year Level 2 Apprenticeship programme, which will include the following:

  • QPEO2/024: Cutting and shaping materials using thermal cutting equipment
