Job Description:  

You will take part in our structured three year training programme learning: 

-How equipment works and what it is used for

-Service and repair of our equipment

-Testing of equipment

-How to set up new equipment ready for hire

-Industry specific technical qualifiations

-Team working

-Problem solving

Desired Skills:  Communication skills, Attention to detail, Organisation skills, Customer care skills, Problem solving skills, Analytical skills, Logical, Team working, Initiative, Patience
Personal Qualities:  See above.
Desired Qualifications:  GCSE or equivalent English (Grade C/2/Level 2) Essential
GCSE or equivalent Maths (Grade C/4/Level 2) Essential
Things to Consider:  We would like candidates to be driven and willing to learn and develop. You must be comfortable attending block learning placements at other sites in the country and learning both on the job and in a classroom/practical learning environment. Being interested in machinery, mechanics and electrics and comfortable working at height are essential.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

During the three years you will study the new L3 Lift Truck and Powered Access Engineer Technician apprenticeship standard and complete the associated end point assessment (EPA) with our external training provider.

Training will be via block release.
