Job Description:

We are seeking to appoint an inspiring Teaching Assistant to join our Early Years team.  You should be an enthusiastic with a real passion for early years education of 3 and 4 year olds.  Do you have:

  • Willing to undertake first aid training

The role will include;

  • Develop strategies to support and encourage pupils to move towards independant learning
  • Use appropriately varied vocabularly to ensure pupils' understanding 
  • Work closely with teachers to ensure own contributions aligns with the teaching
  • Ensure regular communication with teachers to provide clarity and consistency of role within lessons 
  • Deliver/lead small group teaching within clearly defined /planned parameters using initiative, sensitivity and understanding.
  • Undertake relevant safeguarding 
  • Use specific feedback to help pupils make progress
  • Use school computer systems 
  • Use relevant technology competently and effectively to improve learning

Plus any other duties to relevant to the role.

Desired Qualifications:
  • GCSE Maths and English grade 4 or above desirable 
Things to Consider: The role will include outdoor learning including Forest Schools. So there will be periods where you are outside in all weathers.
