Receptionist/Customer Service Apprenticeship

Job Description:
  • Incoming and outgoing calls dealing with customers
  • Transferring calls to the correct person and take accurate messages
  • Use the company be-spoke system
  • Making appointments and inputting data
  • IT duties including accurate emails
  • To photocopy, collate and distribute documents as required
  • Operate fax machine as required
  • Process prescription requests and giving out patient prescriptions to the right recipient
  • Organise and report data
  • Postal duties to include sorting, distributing and franking appropriately and accurately
  • Filing and maintaining internal documents
  • Store and retrieve information
  • Scanning document
  • Providing refreshments in turn
  • Setting up doctors surgery ready for next day
  • Typing duties
  • Preparing medical records
  • Be aware of implications of Practice Policies, especially those relating to confidentiality and data protection
  • Undertake other duties as required

  • Sound knowledge of Microsoft packages

Qualifications Required: A-C in Maths and English are desirable however not essential
Things to Consider: From April 2018 the ANMW will be set at £3.70 per hour. This applies to 16-18 year old apprentices and those aged 19 and over in the first year of their Apprenticeship. For all other apprentices the National Minimum wage appropriate to their age applies. The Minimum Wage for Apprentices applies to time spent on the job plus time spent training.
