Job Description:

TIP Trailer Services are looking to recruit a Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician Apprentice

  • To be trained in the service, repair & maintain trailers to a high standard within the company guidelines and to conform with all current mandatory & EHS legislation
  • To be trained to highlight to the branch or workshop manager, any trailers which do not comply with company specifications and/or current legislation; 
  • To be trained to complete all service documentation in an accurate and timely manner;
  • To be trained to identify any recurring or unusual problems with trailers which could suggest a manufacturing problem of the components and report to line manager; 
  • Attendance of industry recognized apprenticeship training program; 
  • To project a high customer service at all times; 

Carry out such duties as maybe required from time to time at the request of line management & which are deemed to be within your capabilities.  Whilst the above outlines the main duties of the post, the list is not exhaustive and duties may need to change slightly in the light of future developments or as directed by management and business needs.
To achieve an industry recognized qualification by completing the 4 year workshop apprenticeship training program for the maintenance and repair of TIP trailers & its customers owned trailers to a measured quality standard. You will be based at our Knottingley Workshop working in a team of highly skilled technicians. You will also receive a comprehensive tool kit and secure moveable tool chest to get you started in the apprenticeship
