Apprentice Engineer


Job Description:
  • What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Complete stores requisitions for parts required 
  • Carry out risk assessments on plant
  • Continually monitor plant conditions and report/repair defects under supervision
  • Ensure that engineering work is completed to a high standard and that safety procedures are followed at all times
  • Ensure Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) by maintaining a tidy site appearance in line with Food Industry best practice
  • Overhaul and repair plant under supervision during and after production

    What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

    The key feature of this opportunity is being able to study for a Level 3 Engineering Technician Apprenticeship (pathway 10 - Mechatronics).  The training will be based at training provider RNN Group with some weeks based at the factory applying new skills. 

    What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

    It is envisaged that the successful applicant could carry on to a role as a multi-skilled technician on shift with us depending on how successful they are.​

Desired Qualifications:

GCSE or equivalent English/ maths/ science (Grade 6/B) Essential

Things to Consider:

This is a busy working environment where using a wide range of skills is essential. The role is based in a factory where hygiene and food standards are of paramount importance. Must be able to work within a small team.
